The last throes of winter...

(Or at least we hope so!)

Seedlings popping up in the greenhouse, baby bunnies cute as can be (and not eating our gardens yet -- that's why they're "baby bunnies" instead of "those darned rabbits"!), the first flowers gloriously purple on the hillside ... oh, wait, that was yesterday. Today we've had hail, frozen rain (something my husband, who grew up in Illinois, was quite familiar with but I didn't recognize at all ... I think we called it "sleet" when I was young), snow, and lots of rain. It's coooooold out there, which makes me glad yesterday's beautiful weather didn't con me into transplanting the above-mentioned seedlings in the garden. But what better to do on a stay-inside day than finish adding a bunch of new fabrics? We have:

Harmony Arts' Pretty Pink and Sky Blue Baby Talk.
Black and Dark Brown Hemp Canvas.
Natural Hemp Linen.
Natural Twills in both hemp and hemp/tencel.
Java, Olive, and Smoke Hemp/Tencel Plain Weave.
Charcoal and Indigo Hemp/Recycled Poly Twill. (Anybody who buys those liter bottles of soda has no excuse for not also buying this fabric -- the plastic has to go somewhere, and into fabric is a much better option than into landfills!)
New Olive, Tangerine, and Turquoise 1x1 Rib Knits (all of which have matching jerseys). Perfect for spring and summer clothes!
AND, in a feat of epic proportions, there are also more than twenty new buttons made by a family that lives outside of Lima, Peru.

In other words, there's quite a lot to look at and drool over!

Winnie and I will be in Chicago next week. Business will continue as usual, but email and phone answers might be a bit slow. We'll catch up upon our return, and hopefully have some new goodies to share over the next few months. And maybe it'll actually be spring by the time we get back!
