No, we don't think potatoes were actually used in the production of this fabric, but the pattern looks like one you'd find in the crafty section of a fancy magazine. That's only appropriate, since this cloth was designed by a well-known interior decorator. This is your chance to buy an upscale fabric, made with 100% organic cotton and low impact dyes, at a wonderfully affordable price. The open, slightly coarse weave, stylish blue/taupe color combination, and fun print all combine to form a fabric that you won't want to pass up. Use it for interior design, for clothing (jackets, summer dresses, etc) and for gifts (book covers, throw pillows). Although we do not have the organic certification paperwork for this fabric we are sewing with it in complete confidence, and we tend to be sticklers about what fabrics are near our families and ourselves.
