The darkest sapphires have nothing on this beautiful, deep navy blue organic wool interlock. It's almost as soft as a flannel, but warmer and more substantial, and absolutely beautiful. If you're used to wools that itch and bother, or think you're allergic to wool, request a sample of this marvelous fabric -- it may surprise you! (Many people react to the chemicals used in raising the sheep and processing the fibers, rather than to the wool itself.) The organic merino wool is from Australia and the fabric is knit in the US as well. Almost 100% stretch, with a fine knit that's softer than you could have imagined; you'll choose this jersey for everything from formal business attire to luxurious "play clothes" for adults (sweatshirts, sportswear, etc). Take advantage of the beautiful drape by making classic pants, excellent wool shirts, cozy capes and shawls, and the most luxurious longjohns you could ever imagine. Also excellent for baby cardigans and winter clothes, for children's autumn warmth, and for so many other uses.

Dry-cleaning is recommended, although careful hand-washing and even gentle machine-washing can work. Do expect a bit of shrinkage when not dry-cleaning, though, and never use a dryer unless you're deliberately felting the fabric.
