Now you don't have to go to Savile Row to end up with a suit made from truly fine fabric. (That's convenient, as only a small percentage of us live near London ... and I, for one, am not among them!) This amazing suiting fabric is all we've been looking for, for so very long.

Made from 100% organic wool, of course, but so fine that you'd be forgiven for thinking that it's really a cotton, this material is tightly woven. It's light and supple, has a great drape, and really feels just marvelous. Obviously it's not limited to suits -- that would be a waste of such incredible potential. Excellent for skirts, suit coats, even tailored shorts and more. Any leftover pieces will be eagerly absorbed by the various craft projects you may have sitting around, or at least that's how it works in my house!

This is another of those fabrics that we really want you to feel ... not because we make money off selling swatches (trust me, with the labor involved, we don't!), but because it's the only way to get a real idea of the material's true properties and what makes it so special. It's one thing to read my gushing commentary ... it's still another to do so with a swatch in hand, because then you'll realize I'm not exaggerating! So if the fabric's at all intriguing, do consider requesting a swatch. It's a splendid addition to our line, and we're proud to offer this organic wool suiting fabric. (The picture is grey-er than the fabric, because that's the only way we could show the weave and not just a big black blob. It really is a black fabric, trust me.)

At 13 ounces per linear yard, the fabric weighs approximately 7.2 ounces per square yard. Dry-clean only (greenly, of course), to maintain the wonderful feel and finish.
