The 233-thread count and wide width mean this fabric is absolutely perfect for bedding, interior decorating, quilting, and curtains, while the deep color means you'll want to see it in so many other places. I really want to make a duvet and shams combining this black sateen and either Black and White Whispering Grass or Scarlet Sateen. Or maybe two sets, so I can vary them according to my mood (or, if I want to be smart, I'll just make the one set reversible). Sateen's wonderful for clothing, of course -- scrubs (or these ones) for my favorite nurse, pants, jackets, and other goodies. So many options! Give your imagination free rein ... you'll be thrilled to see this fabric just about anywhere.

At 13.2 ounces per linear yard, the fabric is 4.4 ounces per square yard. Made of 100% organic cotton grown, woven, and dyed according to Global Organic Trade Standards in India.

As a sidenote, if you're interested in making bedding, I know someone who made herself a set of sheets using wide-width sateen and following a link she found on our blog.
