Perfect for baby's use, but the rest of the family will want this rib knit too. It's comfortable, fairly light (only 6 ounces per square yard), brightly colored, and wonderful for enlivening your wardrobe or that of a loved one. I love the wide stripes; they're so eye-catching!

Great for baby blankets; use it as a single or double layer, or combine with a layer of another cozy fabric for a fancy boutique-y blanket that will make an amazing gift. (To really impress people whip up a quick knot hat to go along with the blanket – nobody has to know how easy they are to make, and everybody will think you're just the cat's meow!) It's a marvelous fabric for infant layettes and children's clothes, too – even my ten-year-old is asking for a set of PJs out of it. (Of course, he's also asking for sheets to match, so he can be camouflaged while he's asleep ... sometimes I wonder just what's going on in that head of his!) Adults love it too; it's great for sports clothes, bright work wear, and more.

More than 75% stretch, so you'll be able to use this fabric as ribbing with only a few adjustments. That means you can make great garments in which this is the only hint of color, or items in which both the main fabric and the neck and cuffs are made from the same material – both options are great for pajamas, shirts, and the like.

The fabric is, of course, colored with low-impact fiber-reactive dyes (just like all of our dyed fabrics).
