What a fun, fabulous fabric this lightweight plaid is! Marvelously eye-catching in very muted shades of green, grey, and light taupe, with a nicely tight weave, this is a great choice for all sorts of summer options. I can't tell you how hard it is to try to get the color right on the computer screen, though -- please, if you're unsure, request a swatch; I love the muted green, and I suspect you may too.
Perfect for cool shirts, shorts, sundresses (it's not that hard to match plaids when sewing), a nice wrap, and so much more. Also consider this fabric for curtains -- especially in the kitchen, can't you just see it? -- and other crafts and home dec projects. At 3.6ounces per square yard, it is a very lightweight fabric.
Woven in China using Organic Cotton grown in Turkey, dyed using low-impact fiber-reactive dyes. We didn't have this fabric made especially for us -- it's too big of a carbon footprint for us to be comfortable with. (That's too much of a preposition at the end of a sentence for me to be comfortable with, too.) We purchased the unused portion of a huge run for a large company, knowing that the farmers and workers were treated and compensated well at all stages of production and that the fabric was already made and in the States.
This is a limited-edition fabric; once it's gone, we're not getting any more.
