No more hand-washing, no more searching out an eco-friendly drycleaner, no more wearing your clothes until they develop a distinct patina of age and then telling people "it's supposed to look like that." With this amazing washable organic wool interlock, you can pop it in the washing machine and enjoy the benefits of modern technology! And you're not sacrificing anything in terms of fabric feel, either -- the material is as soft as you could imagine, and feels oh-so-good next to your skin.
It's probably proof of my lack of imagination, but I keep really wanting a pair of longjohns made from this fabric. (Okay, maybe it's proof that it gets really cold in the winter, and that washable organic wool longjohns would be really really nice!) If you're a bit more sophisticated than I am -- and really, who isn't? -- the fabric is gorgeous in so many applications: it makes splendid shirts, dresses, skirts, all sorts of slinky and sexy goodies, and so much more!
Machine wash, using cold water, and expect minimal to no shrinking. Hang drying is recommended (though we've had reports of people using a heat-free machine cycle with no ill effects, can you believe it?).
The organic merino wool is from Australia and the fabric is knit in a small, socially-responsible, Fair-Trade Certified boutique factory in China, where employees are both treated and compensated fairly.
The second image on the left shows our four washable wools hanging together.
This is a discontinued fabric. With only a limited amount available, we recommend purchasing more than enough for your project as we will be unable to restock this fabric.
