Fabrics : Woven Fabrics : Printed High End

Topiary: Olive, Roasted Pepper, Skookumchuck

This fabric reminds me of my favorite Frank Lloyd Wright designs, with its marvelous art deco-inspired forest. It's so amazingly gorgeous!

Choose your favorite colorway: Roasted Pepper, with a russet background: Skookumchuck (a chinook word meaning whitewater), with a blue background; or Olive, with a, well, dark olive backdround.

This is a true multi-purpose fabric. Originally designed for home dec purposes, it's splendid for curtains, light upholstery, throw pillows, and the like. It also works wonderfully for very eye-catching clothing -- jackets, little slip dresses, and so much more. You'll love this design for larger-scale accessories, too!

Designed by L-i-v-e Textiles, a group of women committed to "producing beautiful interior fabrics which are healthy for you and the environment."

At 4.8 ounces per square yard, the design has a vertical repeat of 20.625" and a horizontal repeat of 9". Printed in the US on GOTS-certifed, Ecocert-monitored flax linen fabric milled in China.

Linen is strong, absorbent, and antibacterial, and is prized for its smooth hand and its resistance to static and lint.

The traditional method of processing flax linen was called dew retting; it involved leaving the tough flax stalks in a pile in the moist autumn air to start breaking down into strands which could then be combed into fiber. In this modern but still chemical-free method, the stems are put into a large cement pool, misted with water, and covered. They are then rotated and misted every few days, simulating the humid conditions of the traditional method and facilitating the degumming process.

Buying a swatch will get you a piece of each fabric within the design style.

Dyed/Printed in the US.
