Although I'm an organic cotton purist, I have to admit that there are times when a bit of extra elasticity is required. When I hear the call of the wild -- or, rather, of the stretch -- I love to reach for this splendid jersey.

Eight percent spandex combines with certified organic cotton to provide both stretch and an excellent rebound, making the material perfect for exercise clothing, lingerie (bras, including nursing bras, aren't too hard to make, and panties can be downright easy), long johns, baby and toddler sleep or playwear (though of course it's strongly recommended that infant sleepwear be flame-retardant or close-fitting), etc. Have fun -- the extra stretch makes the material more forgiving of mistakes than you might otherwise expect, and it's a great fabric to play with!

At 13 ounces per linear yard, this fabric weighs around 7.4 ounces per square yard. There's approximately 75% stretch. The fabric is knit in the US of organic cotton, in a factory that complies with the GOTS standards.
