What fun these yarns are! Made from two different naturally-occurring colors of organic wool twisted together, you'll love working with them. Direct from a 200-acre organic farm in California, a blend of Rambouillet, Lincoln, Suffolk, and Merino sheep's wool creates these all-natural colors. The yarn is washed and spun in New Mexico, where the workers take care that all processes are done organically. No chemicals or soaps harmful to the environment, the wool, or the wearer are ever used. Occasional organic inclusions highlight the natural qualities of this pure wool without detracting from its beauty, and the homespun look and feel adds value and interest.
The Brown and White is the most dramatic of our tweed options; it begs to be made into a warm sweater, a cozy muffler, or a stunning felted purse.
Our Brown and Grey yarn looks as warm as it is; it's a more subtle effect that could work for even the most sophisticated of uses.
The Grey and White tweed yarn's light, muted look adds definite visual interest to all your creations. It felts up beautifully, ending up a light heathered grey, but is also stunning when left unfelted. Don't miss it!
A preliminary poll around the office left us evenly divided among these new yarns; the general conclusion was that "we should get more so we can all play with all of them!"
Perfect for knitting, crocheting, and weaving, all skeins are 2-ply and weigh four ounces with approximately 250 yards per skein. We've really enjoyed felting our creations, and these yarns felt beautifully!
When you order a sample we send a piece of each color; there's no need to specify which you're interested in.
