Pure organic merino wool makes these organic wool yarns so very soft and fun to work with. The natural colors come directly from sheep raised on an organic farm in California, with a quick stop at a wool mill for spinning into yarn. At both the farm and the mill, workers take care that all processes are completed organically. No chemicals or soaps harmful to the environment, the wool, or the wearer are ever used. Although there are far fewer than in our other wool yarns, occasional organic inclusions highlight the natural qualities of this pure wool without detracting from its beauty, and the homespun look and feel adds value and interest. Each skein is approximately 4 ounces, with 750 yards/pound (that's about 190 yards/skein); the yarn is officially worsted weight.

All three colors are soft, but the light grey is possibly the coziest. They knit and crochet up beautifully, are great used in crafts, and are just so much fun working with! Consider making warm winter wear, heirloom blankets, sweaters, shawls, afghans, mittens, and so many other things! Fun for weaving too -- and also for letting your children experiment with, if you truly love those kids!
