Edwardian Underthings

Dainty frilly undergarments of fine cotton were worn by early 20th century women to enhance a well-rounded, graceful silhouette. This popular pattern (Folkwear 203) offers a camisole, petticoat, and knee-length drawers or "knickers". You may choose to charmingly finish these garments with lace or eyelets.

Suggested fabrics: Fine cotton blends such as lawn, batiste, broadcloth, muslin, and silk. Petticoat can also be made of taffeta.

Women's XS-3X. Click here for yardage requirements and notions.

Since the 1970s, Folkwear patterns have been used by theatre and dance costumers, historic reenactors, art-to-wear-aficionados, and anyone who enjoys dressing up. Folkwear patterns are based on vintage fashions and traditional ethnic garments for an authentic look. But with a fresh eye and creative touch, these timeless styles can become exciting and trend-setting wearable art today.

Made in the US.
