These small cones of organic cotton thread are wonderful to work with for people who enjoy the patient practice of hand-sewing. This cone holds 1/3 pound of 30/3 thread made from 100% organic cotton. SKAL certified, and carefully spun into such pure thread, you'll be reaching for it at every opportunity. Try dyeing it for embroidery.

This thread is a bit thinner than previous versions we've offered; it's not as durable as a polyester thread, and you will find that it breaks more frequently than you might expect. Untreated, unwaxed, and unmercerized, the lack of synthetics in this thread means you may have to adjust the tension of your machine appropriately to reduce thread-pulling and breakage if you do try to use it in machinework. In our experience, hand-sewing is the best use for this thread.
