King of All Wild Things

This just might be the perfect beginner's pattern . or at least it would be for my house, where we've gone through multiple copies of Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. This crown will let your little one be King or Queen of All Wild Things ... right up until you look into his or her eyes and say "be still"!

You'll love this glorious felted crown for the King (or Queen) in your life. Five sizes will fit infant to adult, so you can make one for everyone's special occasion. Imagine a sweet pink and purple one (decorated with sew-on sequins?) for a perfect Princess Birthday Crown, or a green and red Christmas Crown, a blue and white Hanukkah Crown, a Mom's Got A Headache And Needs To Be Left Alone For A While crown, ... the possibilities are endless. Crowns like this are often sold at Waldorf schools, and you can make your very own!

Supplies needed for this pattern: 100% wool worsted weight yarn, 1 skein each of two colors (80-160 yards per color); size 10 (US) 16" circular needles.

Made in the US.
