DK weight, expect 22 sts/10 cm using 3.75 (5 US) needles.

The Italian factory where this yarn is spun for LanaKnits produces many high-end yarns, with very high standards and quality control. Dyed using fiber-reactive dyes. The hemp is grown in China, under organic-but-not-certified conditions, and the cashmere and cotton are conventionally grown.

Samples come with a small piece of all five Italian-inspired colors; no need to specify when you're ordering swatches.

Truthfully, we weren't sure if carrying this yarn really fit within our rubric of sustainability, but we finally decided to offer it to our customers as a more environmentally- and socially-friendly alternative to traditional conventional cotton yarns and in an attempt to enhance the market for hemp (and thus the need to grow more of that wonderful fiber).
