(Mercerization is a chemical and heat process that increases the luster of the thread. Fuzzy threads are burned off, creating a smoother surface that reflects light, increasing the luster of the thread. It also increases water absorbency, making the thread easier to dye.) Expect 28 sts and 38 rows over 4 inches, using 3 mm (2 US) needles. It's easy to care for: machine or hand-wash, and machine or line-dry.
