I love the optional gathered foldover at the center front of this shirt; it's such a great look, and one that I haven't seen very often. These banded scoopneck tops also offer ruching at the center front, an optional wide hem band, and your choice of a three-quarter or tulip sleeve or no sleeves at all.
A knit fabric with 40% four-way stretch is recommended for this pattern, Jalie 2806. It includes a range of sizes (from girl's size 2 to women's 22) allowing you to outfit most or all the females in your family with just one pattern. The most fabric required is 1 1/2 yard for a Size 22 three-quarter-sleeved version; the least is 1/2 yard for Size 2 of any version. You'll need an additional 6-8 inches added to the yardage for the hem band, if you choose to add it. No special notions are required.
To preserve the pattern you'll want to trace your desired size: we recommend using our Kwik Trace Cloth or Swedish Tracing Paper. Francophiles will love that instructions are in both English and French.
