Made in the US from certified organic cotton and developed in compliance with the new Global Organic Textile Standards, this is the best heavy-duty organic cotton thread we've ever seen. Created from a collaboration between the YLI Thread folks and our friends at The Fiberactive Quilt Company (who also dye our batik wide-width sateen fabrics), it's produced using methods based on emerging Domestic Fair Trade standards.

These small cones (about two inches high) have 500 yards of thread designed for machine use including overlock/serger fun (you can use it for hand-sewing, of course, but it'll more than stand up to the rigors of machinework too!). We're thrilled to offer this 29/2 organic thread, and have been enjoying working with it.
