Made in the US from certified organic cotton and developed in compliance with the new Global Organic Textile Standards, this is the best heavy-duty organic cotton thread we've ever seen. Created from a collaboration between the YLI Thread folks and our friends at The Fiberactive Quilt Company (who also dye our batik wide-width sateen fabrics), it's produced using methods based on emerging Domestic Fair Trade standards.

These small spools (about 2 inches high) have 400 yards of natural-colored thread designed for machine use (you can use it for hand-sewing, of course, but it'll stand up to the rigors of machinework too!). We're thrilled to offer this 24/3 organic thread, and have been enjoying working with it.
