Three ply and Tex 60, it's also ideal for quilting and bedding construction.

Made in the US from certified organic cotton and developed in compliance with the new Global Organic Textile Standards, this is the best heavy-duty organic cotton thread we've ever seen. Created from a collaboration between the YLI Thread folks and our friends at The Fiberactive Quilt Company (who also dye our batik wide-width sateen fabrics), it's produced using methods based on emerging Domestic Fair Trade standards.

These medium cones (about 4 inches high, and 2.5 inches in diameter) have 1500 yards of thread designed for machine use (you can use it for hand-sewing, of course, but it'll stand up to the rigors of machinework too!).
