Made in the US from certified organic cotton and developed in compliance with the new Global Organic Textile Standards, this is the best multipurpose organic cotton thread we've seen yet. Indeed, one of our customers said it's the best thread she's ever used, and as a long-time sewing enthusiast she's tried a LOT of different brands!

Available in natural, white, and black.

Created from a collaboration between the YLI Thread folks and our friends at The Fiberactive Quilt Company (who also dye our batik wide-width sateen fabrics), it's produced using methods based on emerging Domestic Fair Trade standards, and is designed for home use in sewing machines and sergers.

These large cones (about 7 inches high, and diameter of 4 to 4.5 inches) have 12,000 yards of thread designed for machine use (you can use it for hand-sewing, of course, but it'll stand up to the rigors of domestic machinework too!). We're thrilled to offer this 29/2 organic thread, and have been enjoying working with it.
