The Twirly Skirt is, perhaps, the twirliest of all - the weight of the fabric and the faux skirt layers give it such a satisfying spin!
The pattern includes instructions, assembly diagrams, and many full-size pattern pieces for Girl's sizes 2T-10. Instructions are provided for measuring out the larger Twirly Skirt pattern pieces. You'll want Swedish Tracing Paper or Kwik Trace Cloth to trace the pieces on, so you don't cut the actual pattern.
The tunic calls for a lightweight cotton or linen fabric with a nice drape, at least 42" wide, and a 10"x12" piece of lightweight fusible interfacing. Children's sizes 2-3T call for 1 yard; 4T-5 call for 1.5 yards; and 6-10 call for 1 2/3 yards.
The Twirly Skirt calls for one yard of 1/2" elastic and 1 5/8 yard of each a main skirt fabric (heavier-weight cotton like twill or home-decor weight prints) and a skirt contrast fabric (mid-weight cotton or linen), each at least 42" wide.
This is Sew Liberated Pattern #107; it is designed by a work-at-home mom and printed in the United States.
