Start with a 40" square pillow of shredded natural latex rubber encased in organic cotton, and sew your own outer case from the three included yards of our Doodle color-grown organic cotton, upholstery-weight woven fabric. This fabric normally sells for $17+/yard, so this is an amazing value. Your dog will love you forever!

Because the dog bed is so simple, making the case is easy too -- it's really just an envelope of fabric, closed at the open end however you wish. (We chose snaps, other people pick ties, velcro, and simply sewing it shut.) Remove the case to wash it whenever the dirt or smell is too much to bear, and put it back on to have a nicely clean "new" dog bed. Make an extra case from another fabric, so you can change the dog bed's look as easily as you change the rest of your decor.

The dog bed is sewn in the US, and the organically-grown cotton fabric is from the States as well. The latex is imported, of course, and is the shredded remains left from making latex beds. It's a perfect way to reduce manufacturing waste while also creating a nation of happy, comfortable dogs!
