I can't imagine a better knitting needle case. Seriously -- these are absolutely gorgeous, completely functional, and wonderfully sustainable. Lantern Moon is a company that truly cares, and these cases are hand-made by Vietnamese women who are making a true living wage while working with their traditional skills. Lantern Moon is very active in the community as well, supporting educational, environmental, and empowerment efforts in addition to working to alleviate poverty directly through the creation of well-paying, ethical jobs.

But the sustainability aspects notwithstanding, these really are amazing needle cases in and of themselves. There's a large zippered area for all the odds and ends that accumulate (stitch markers, stitch holders, tape measures, etc), nine wide shallow pockets for circular needles, and nine narrow pockets of varying depths for straight needles. The pockets are lined with a synthetic fabric to reduce catching when inserting and removing needles and other items. The cases are beautiful, too, made with three different kinds of silk in each (raw, patterned, and plain). Choose from two color themes: blue and light blue, and jade and chocolate. (Black and Blue have been discontinued.)
