Packaged in a cute little reusable cotton tote, this tote includes two skeins of 100% hemp yarn (enough to knit up to five items) and the three patterns. Size 6 US (4m) needles are recommended, for a gauge of 5 st and 7 rows = 1 inch for the Loopy Loop Stitch.

Feedback we've been given is that the patterns aren't the easiest to work with, but that this kit is very workable for advanced beginners and the results are more than acceptable. Hemp is harsher on your hands than cotton or wool; it doesn't have the elasticity of animal fibers or the softness of other plant yarns like cotton or silk, but you can't beat it for strength or durability. The fibers soften dramatically with washing, and I personally love the results. It's tailor-made for bath products, too -- I've had the same hemp washcloth for :mumble: years now, and absolutely love it.
