This great four-seasons hat will keep your head happy all year round. It's an easy knit tam worked from the brim to the crown, with a delicate lace pattern on the brim to add a lovely feminine touch.
Sized for baby through adult, you'll be able to cover the heads of all the females of your acquaintance with this one pattern (though unless you know very few people you will probably need more than just the one skein of hemp yarn that comes with it -- that's enough for one hat of any size, but not for a whole lot of them!). Perfect knit large for your favorite Rasta friend, too.
Designed for the advanced beginner, this kit comes in a cute little reusable cotton bag. It makes a great gift as is, and an even better present for very special people if you knit up a hat and present it to them.
Feedback we've been given is that the patterns aren't the easiest to work with, but that the kit is very workable for advanced beginners and the hats are so very cute. Hemp is harsher on your hands than cotton or wool; it doesn't have the elasticity of animal fibers or the softness of other plant yarns like cotton or silk, but you can't beat it for strength or durability. The fibers soften dramatically with washing, and I personally love the results.
