Washed without harsh chemicals and free from mothproofing and other treatments, organic wool is naturally resistant to dust mites, molds, mildews, and odors. Hand or machine wash in cold water, delicate cycle; lay flat or line dry. Do not use a dryer. Trust us on that! Allow for 5% normal shrinkage.

Made in the USA, using organic merino wool from Australia.The sheep this wool comes from are treated well throughout their lifecycle; raised on Australia's outback, they are fed only organic food when their pasture needs supplemented. Never vaccinated, there are no synthetic hormones or pesticides used on them, their food, or their pastures. Controlled organic grazing minimizes stress on animals and keeps their immune systems functioning at a higher level. Organically-raised sheep do not experience mulesing, dipping, or overcrowding on their pastures. The wool, once (humanely) shorn, is treated differently as well; it is cleaned using biodegradable soaps, non-acid baths, and other nontoxic methods. (I personally love the fact that non-toxic pest management has to be practiced in organic wool production facilities ... I wouldn't want my organic wool contaminated by somebody spraying Off! on it!)
