Designer Marylou Marsh loves this french terry, which she thinks is a "great fabric because on one side it has the nubby texture of a sweater, and on the reverse it is smooth like a heavy jersey. It is a great fabric to tailor, as it holds a shape well. It's excellent for jackets and hoodies because it is quite warm, working like a thermal because of the layer of trapped air. It also has wool-like qualities, which make it great for skirts and warm casual pants. It's like a sweater/wool hybrid, without the itch!" This is a wonderful fabric for clothing the whole family, from casually sophisticated cardigans to little kids' gym suits and everything in-between.
