In Laura's first art class in college, she had to produce a still-life painting using only the color white. Not as easy as it might sound, huh? She was supposed to mix many different shades or hues of white, using them to create her masterpiece. She realized then that not all whites are alike, a lesson housepainters and sewists also need to learn early in their careers! This splendid fabric has an ever-so-slightly creamy tint that's just shy of what some would call "winter white."

Ten percent spandex provides both stretch and an excellent rebound, making the material perfect for yoga pants, lingerie (bras, including nursing bras, aren't too hard to make, and panties can be downright easy), long johns, baby and toddler sleep or playwear (though of course it's strongly recommended that infant sleepwear be flame-retardant or close-fitting), etc. Because this fabric has great recovery, you will find it an excellent choice for waistbands!

At 13.2 ounces per linear yard, this fabric weighs around 7.8 ounces per square yard. There's approximately 75% stretch.
