Designer Marylou Marsh describes similar rib knit fabrics as "good for any body-conscious design and fit, because the fabric has recovery without the element of lycra. It's one of my favorite fabrics to work with because you can tailor it, but it's also very comfortable and easy to wear and design." With approximately 75% stretch, it's wonderful for clothing the whole family, from slinky skirts to baby kimonos and everything in-between.
At 11.0 ounces per linear yard, this fabric weighs 6.9 ounces per square yard. It's a tubular fabric, which means it's either 28.5" wide uncut or 57" wide if you choose to cut it open. Knit in the US from American-grown cotton.
